10 Scriptures to Meditate on During Your Morning Coffee

For the past month I have incorporated journaling back into my quiet time routine. For this season I am using it for prayers, heart checks, and a scripture vault of verses I am holding close too for daily life and for pregnancy/birth. It's been so life giving and a practice I didn't realize that I have missed.
I also know that not every season of life offers us time to just sit quietly and journal. Little feet who are supposed to be sleeping, get up early and need sweet snuggles. Perhaps mornings are already as early as they can get because of work or school schedules. Maybe it is just one of those mornings where it needs to be short and sweet. No matter where your quiet time is at, I hope that these verses give you some encouragement as you sip your favorite brew. May they also serve as a reminder that discipleship can happen even in the mess. Take these verses and make verse cards for your kitchen sink, invite those little ones to sit and read the verses with you. Ask them which one they like the best and why. Read one or two with your spouse before you head out the door to work. Starting our day with God's word even in small ways, can have such a meaningful kingdom impact on those around us and us as we navigate through the ordinary moments of life.
Proverbs 3:5-6
" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight "
Proverbs 4:12
"As you go, step by step, I will open up the way before you."
Deuteronomy 31:8
"The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you, He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged."
Romans 8:28
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose."
John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
1 John 4:18
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
James 1:17
" Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
Psalms 33:18
"But the LORD watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on His unfailing love."
James 1:5
"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to you."
Our world gives so many reasons for our hearts to hurt, grieve, but even in this midst of those hard moments we can be reminded of God's truth. We can let it melt into us, like a healing balm. Whether you are facing hard life decisions. Struggling to trust God's goodness, wondering how this is going to work together for His glory, needing comfort for a hurting heart or just needing to draw close to your Heavenly Father who loves you so much more than you can imagine. His word holds verses for you.
Comment below which one of these verses speaks the most to you this week.
I love these "God-moments" and your great encouragement to find ways to share them with loved ones. I have always loved James 1:5.
